Senehasa Education Resource Research and Information Centre (SERRIC), functioning under Ministry of Defence and Ranaviru Seva Authority, aims to provide essential services to children with special needs belonging to families of the Tri Forces, Police and the Civil Security Department with the purpose of increasing their quality of life.
SERRIC provides individualized services to children with a wide range of disabilities which include and are not limited to varying spectrums of Cerebral Palsy, Autism, Global Developmental Delays, Learning Disabilities, Muscular Dystrophy, Downs Syndrome, Visual & Hearing Impairments, Angelman Syndrome, Malpuech Syndrome, Smith Lemli Opitz Syndrome, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Rubinstein Taybi Syndrome, Mental Retardation and Kabuki Syndrome.
SERRIC strives to provide these children with a sound foundation to improve their quality of life, and assist in building their independence so they can be a part of the mainstream society as confident and empowered individuals.

Mission
We believe that equal access to opportunities and services for children with special needs is essential in developing an inclusive society. We at SERRIC strive to provide individualized services for children with special needs in order to ensure a smooth integration into the society. In partnership with government and private sector stakeholders, we endeavor to provide a stable foundation for our children to live independently as respected individuals in society.
Objectives
- Ensure early intervention by identifying abilities, strengths and weaknesses and opportunities for improvement.
- Formulate a personalized IEP for each child assuring physical, mental, spiritual and social well-being as well as developing living skills.
- Implement student centered adaptations for national level curriculum, examinations and sporting events and providing guidance for enrolment at schools
- Clinical support with professional assistance.
- Parental guidance and counseling.
- Coordinate and work closely with government and NGOs for sharing of information and resources promoting operational research to assist the development of children
