Commencement of the Academic year [2024]

The commencement of studies for the children of “Senehasa” was marked with grandeur on January 8th, 2024. To commemorate this significant milestone, a Tree Planting program was organized within the premises of “Senehasa”. And a Mango tree was ceremonially planted by the Chief Supervision Officer to symbolize the event.

SERRIC Students Visited an Indian Naval Ship [2023]

The State of the Art Indian Navy ships kiltan and Anti Submarine Warfare Corvette and INS Savithri arrived at the Colombo Port on April 4th 2023. High Commission of India initiated to invite the children of Senehasa to visit the ship to stimulate their inquisitive young minds, as a study tour.

Goodbye, SERRIC students! [2023]

A farewell ceremony was held on 2nd of February 2023 for the 21 students of the SERRIC Vocational Training Section. Students performed a group dance and sang few songs. The occasion brought back many found memories to them. The Senehasa's academic staff presented a memento to all wishing them for being a part of the Senehasa Family.

Thai Pongal Festival at SERRIC [2023]

The Thai Pongal Festival of the Senehasa was celebrated on 18th January 2023 at the Senehasa Premises. The children were in traditional attire. Thai Pongal is a harvest celebration in which people honor God and the Sun. The children observed Thai Pongal traditions. The staff, students and teachers and parents were all present.

World Downs’ Syndrome Day [2022]

A special event was held on March 21, 2022 at the Senehasa premises to commemorate World Down Syndrome Day which falls on March 21. The program, which commenced at 10.30 am, was attended by children with Down syndrome and their parents.
