The SENEHASA Education Center under the Ranaviru Seva Authority (RSA) in Narahenpita, organized a special function to commemorate International Autism Day on 8 April 2021 at the SENEHASA premises under the auspices of its Supervising Officer Mrs Sonia Kottegoda and Commandant Brig Raja Gunasekara.

The event was organized by SENEHASA Education Center to mark the International Autism Awareness Day which falls on the 2nd of April with the participation of nearly 100 children of war heroes' families with special needs and their parents, teachers and staff of the SENEHASA. The Supervising Officer and Commandant were able to contribute to the great charitable task of adding a different experience to their monotonous lifestyle by presenting a special magic programme to the children led by the international magician "Mr Magic".

Mrs Sonia Kottegoda Supervising Officer and Commandant Brig Raja Gunasekara of the SENEHASA were also distributed special gift parcels to all the children who participated in the special Autism Day celebration.

The SENEHASA Educational Resource Research and Information Center, which operates under the Ministry of Defense and the Ranaviru Seva Authority, aims to provide essential services to children with special educational needs in the families of the Armed Forces, Police and Civil Defense Force.

With the aim of improving the living standards of the children of war hero families with special educational needs, SENEHASA Education Center offers a wide range of services to Ranaviru families free of charge through a variety of streams.

Professional interventions are made to provide a special foundation for the special needs children of war hero families studying in this education center to uplift their living standards and to help them build their confidence.

The Commandant, SENEHASA, Brigadier Raja Gunasekara and its staff members were also participated in this special event.
